"Good Food in Relaxed Atmosphere"
Reviewed 6 February 2012
Went here on Saturday night. We were quickly given menus and our drinks order taken which was delivered promptly.
My husband ordered potato skins with prawns as a starter and we both had salads for our mains with variations from the menu which we were assured would be no problem.
My husband got one potato skin with prawns which he said was very tasty, slightly spicy and any more would have been too much. Our salads arrived as we requested and again were very good with a nice portion size.
I managed to squeeze in a sticky toffee pudding with ice cream which I enjoyed. The sponge was light and needed a little drop more of the sauce if I am to be fussy,
The meals with guiness. 1 wine,1 tea and a coke came to just over €40.00.
The only bad thing was the coke which tasted like diluted syrup and we got an apology for this when we mentioned it.
I would have no hesitation in returning. There are TVs in some areas which you can watch and hear ( I have been in some places where they are on but with the sound so low you cant hear them). There are areas away from the televisions if you do not want to see them

The Bailey Cafe Bar is located on the river Slaney in Enniscorthy. The beautiful old building creates the perfect ambiance for a relaxing evening. The food was excellent, service efficient and friendly and hey have a number of offers on alcoholic beverages.
Highly recommended spot for food or a quiet drink if you're staying in or passing through Enniscorthy.

We liked the look of this place as we drove into Enniscorthy so we decided to have dinner there later in the evening. There were ten adults in our group. We were not waiting long for our food to arrive. We found the food excellent and good value for money- burger and pint 10 euro. Lots of food on the plate. The young guy serving us was nice and we had a bit of a laugh with him.

Unfortunately the place was empty (Friday night at 8pm) but guess this is a sign of the times.

“A very friendly, welcoming venue for good food”

I went to the Bailey a few weeks ago with friends. The food was very good, with tasty and generous portions. There is an outside dining area, with umbrellas over the tables, where smoking is allowed. For years now, there has been no smoking inside pubs, bars, restaurants, etc. And it is universally obeyed. Even my smoker friends agree it is better.
The beefburgers here are wonderful, as is the fish option usually on option (battered fish and chips, or trout or sea bass are the usual choices). My friends and I have not had a bad meal here since they opened, a few years ago. For a quick, wholesome meal, especially a good pub lunch, this is a good place to go.
