Rockin’ Food & Fruit Festival, returns this May Bank Holiday and is one of Enniscorthy’s most exciting weekends of the year – Whether you’re a local soaking up the atmosphere or visitor to our vibrant town for the first time, there’s no better way to experience Enniscorthy
Set against the stunning backdrop of Enniscorthy Castle Grounds, this year’s festival promises a packed weekend of food, live cooking, music, and family-friendly entertainment.
The weekend is officially opened with a magical fireworks display on Friday night at 10pm, kindly sponsored by the Riverside Park Hotel.
With events running throughout the weekend and the Food Marquee kicking off from 11 on both Saturday and Sunday, there’s plenty to see, taste, and experience. The Food Marquee will be buzzing with activity showcasing some of the very best in local and Irish produce. Local and celebrity chefs will be giving live cookery demonstrations, along with plenty of inspiration for food lovers of all kinds.
Festival Highlights Include:
1. Enjoy a great line of talented chefs in action as they bring their signature dishes to life and give expert hints and tips for preparing perfect dishes. The Food Marquee highlights include
- Edward Haydens presentation on Effortless Summer Entertaining with great stress-free tips and recipe
- Colman Power is an organic fitness coach whos cookery demo focuses on gut health and family- friendly nutrition.
- Smoking Soul give a straight talking demo with all the dos & don’ts for high impact BBQ’s that are sure to impress
- The Bailey’s own head Chef Peter brings a true taste of the Bailey to life with his award winning Seadfood Chowder demo. This dish was instrumental in the Bailey claiming its National Best Food Pub winning title from the Irish Pub Awards.
- Louise Aspils demo will teach simple baking skills and cookie decorating for the younger bakers.
- There will also be a pastry demonstration and a bee keeping demo during the weekend.
2. Kids Disco with Liam Sharkey and Friends where party tunes, dance games and kids favourite characters including Bluey, Stitch, Mickey Mouse and Paw Patrol – this is bound to be a big hit with all age kids.
3. Step back in time with a Shield Painting workshop on the grounds of Enniscorthy Castle.
4. A vibrant mix of artisan producers, local food vendors, and delicious street food. From sweet treats to savoury delights, there’s something for every taste
5. Local pubs along with the street festival will deliver a lively soundtrack of rockin’ tunes, jiving and dancing, creating an electric atmosphere throughout the town all weekend long.

Located on Barrack Street, The Bailey Bar & Eatery is perfectly positioned for you to enjoy the festival while relaxing in comfortable, welcoming surroundings. After walking the streets and soaking up the atmosphere, you’ll be delighted to sit down and enjoy a hot meal in comfort yet buzzing atmosphere. A full lunch menu including daily specials is served from 12noon while the evening menu runs until 8.30pm each night.
The Rockin’ Food & Fruit Festival is a celebration of food, music, and community right here in Enniscorthy and a great way to kick off the Summer festival calendar.
