The Bailey Bar & Eatery in Enniscorthy are celebrating again, after the award-winning venue was announced as a finalist in two categories at the prestigious Square Bar of the Year Awards recently.
The achievement is particularly significant as The Bailey is the only Wexford business to reach the finalist stage in either of these categories, despite a number of Wexford businesses making it through the initial nomination stage.
The double finalist recognition adds to an impressive list of accolades for The Bailey over the past two years. In 2024, the venue was crowned “National Best Food Pub” at the Irish Pub Awards, having first won the South East Regional “Best Food Pub” title. The Bailey has also subsequently been recognised as “Best Family Friendly Bistro Experience” for the county in the Irish Enterprise Awards, alongside further recognition for customer experience and service.
The team at The Bailey says these latest hounours are a testament to the hard work and commitment of its staff, as well as the continued support of its loyal customers.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be finalists, particularly as the only Wexford business to make it through to the finals in these categories,” said Edward Hogan, General Manager at The Bailey.
“Over the past two years we have been incredibly fortunate to receive some fantastic recognition, but for us, awards are ultimately about the people behind the business.
“Our team works incredibly hard to deliver great food, friendly service and a memorable experience for our customers. Being recognised at these industry awards gives our staff a real sense of pride and shows them that their hard work is making a difference.”
Mr Hogan also sees industry recognition as an important endorsement for thier customers.
“Ultimately, our customers are at the heart of everything we do. When people choose The Bailey for a family meal, lunch with friends or to celebrate a special occasion, we want them to know that they can expect great food and genuine hospitality.
“Winning awards gives customers that added reassurance, while motivating us to keep raising our standards. We have a saying at The Bailey “what we do we do well” and this is reflected in this awards.”
For the team, recognition on the national stage once again is a source of particular pride.
“We are delighted to be flying the flag for Enniscorthy and Wexford again. There are so many fantastic hospitality businesses in the county, so to be the only Wexford finalist in these categories is a fantastic achievement. We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved over the past two years, but we are equally conscious not to stand still and will continue to deliver our great hospitality to all”
